About This Plate
Honor Special Group
This license plate recognizes Utah resident disabled veterans for their military service. It does not provide handicapped parking space privileges, a disabled windshield placard must be obtained separately. Please refer to our Disabled Plates and Placards page to see what qualifies for disable placard parking privileges. This plate may be transferred to the surviving spouse of a disabled veteran so long as the surviving spouse remains unmarried. This plate may be personalized with up to five alphanumeric characters, or up to four for motorcycles.
Requirements
- Letter from Utah Department of Veterans’ and Military Affairs or other United States military entity certifying the disabled status of the veteran
- $20.50 Special Plate Fee ($16.00 Motorcycle)
- No Annual Contribution
- $7.75 Postage and Handling

- Or by mail – please submit a copy of your current registration, any documentation required for the special plate, a check that includes the cost of the special plate plus $7.75 for postage to:
