A registration renewal may be completed at any time prior to expiration of the current registration, subject to the availability of renewal materials. The new registration period will retain the same expiration month as the original registration, with few exceptions.

How to Renew Your Registration

Renewal Express online registration renewal systemYou have several options when it comes to how you renew your registration. The most convenient method is renewing online, using RenewalExpress.

Many inspection stations can not only complete your inspections, but also renew your registration as part of our On The Spot program. See Station Map for station locations

A renewal may also be completed at your local DMV office drive-through or lobby at most locations. If your only option to complete your renewal is through the mail service, you may mail items to the address listed below. Applicable inspection certificates and payment of all associated registration fees are required to complete any renewal transaction.
