Park Model Recreational Vehicles

General Information

A park model recreational vehicle is defined as a unit that is designed and marketed as temporary living quarters for recreational, camping, travel, or seasonal use and is not permanently affixed to real property or for use as a permanent dwelling. Park model recreational vehicles also require a special highway movement permit for transit, and are built on a single chassis mounted on wheels with a gross trailer area not exceeding 400 square feet in the setup mode.

Park model recreational vehicles with model year 2015 and newer must be titled and registered in Utah. Model years of 2014 and older may obtain a title at owner’s request. The owner must pay registration fees at the time of initial registration and annually thereafter. Uniform fees also apply.
