About This Plate

Unique Vehicle Special Group

This plate is used to identify a vehicle that is at least 20 years old or is recognized as a special interest vehicle by the Division Director. Considerations in determining whether a vehicle may be classified as a special interest vehicle include: a make that is no longer manufactured, a make produced in limited or token quantities, an experimental vehicle, a vehicle designed solely for educational or display purposes, or a vehicle being collected, preserved, restored, maintained, or operated by a collector or hobbyist as a leisure pursuit. This plate may be personalized with up to five alphanumeric characters. Not available for motorcycles.

  • Vehicle must meet requirements set forth in 41-1a-102
  • No Annual Contribution

Special Plate Fee $20.50

*If ordering a Commercial set, please add an additional $2.50 to fees listed above.

  • Or by mail – please submit a copy of your current registration, any documentation required for the special plate, and a check that includes the cost of the special plate (plate fee + any contribution) to:
