Information for Motor Vehicle Dealers

The following list provides requirements and other information for dealers who need to visit motor vehicle offices. To make your visit go smoothly, please follow these requirements. For contact info, hours, maps and general information, visit this page.

Beaver County

Box Elder County

  • Dealers may drop off packets at our dealer window anytime during our normal business hours.
  • Dealers may walk a total of two transactions per visit. Dealers will need to stand in line with the other customers when doing so.
  • Dealers can either call or approach the dealer window to inquire if their packet is ready for pick up.
  • Dealer contact information should be written on the packet in the event we have a question.

Cache County

  • Dealers may drop off packets any time.
  • Dealer packets have a limit of ten transactions.
  • The dealer will receive a call when their packet is available for pick-up.
  • Dealer walk-ins are allowed with a limit of two transactions at a time.
  • We do not accept dealer walk-ins from 11:00 – 2:00 or after 4:30.

Carbon County

  • Dealer transactions are limited to drop-off only.
  • Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Dealers may NOT schedule an appointment with the DMV Appointment Scheduler (where available).
  • There is a limit of 5 transaction per dealer packet.
  • We will contact the dealer when the packet is completed and ready for pick up using the following method:
    • If the dealer pays with an e-check, an email is generated and sent to the email address associated with the e-payment information;
    • If the dealer uses another payment method, we will contact the dealer by phone
  • You must properly complete form TC-318, Dealer Transmittal for each packet, including dealer contact information, payment method and number of transactions being processed.

Daggett County

  • This office does not process dealer packets.

Davis County

  • Dealer transactions are limited to drop-off only.
  • Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Dealers may NOT schedule an appointment with the DMV Appointment Scheduler (where available).
  • There is a limit of 15 transaction per dealer packet.
  • We will contact the dealer when the packet is completed and ready for pick up using the following method:
    • If the dealer pays with an e-check, an email is generated and sent to the email address associated with the e-payment information;
    • If the dealer uses another payment method, we will contact the dealer by phone
  • You must properly complete form TC-318, Dealer Transmittal for each packet, including dealer contact information, payment method and number of transactions being processed.

Duchesne County

  • We will call the dealer when the packet is ready.

Emery County

Castle Dale

  • Dealer requirements are the same as those in place pre-COVID.

Green River

  • There are no special requirements for dealers at this time.

Garfield County

  • There are no special requirements for dealers at this time.

Grand County

  • Dealers may drop off paperwork during our regular business hours 8:00 – 12:00.
  • Dealer packets are worked as time permits in relation to our customer volume.
  • Dealers are called when their packet is ready.
  • Dealers need to fill out a drop-off slip with the name and last 8 of the vin; the drop off slip is signed by both the CSR and the Dealer.
  • If the dealer drops off a large packet we will do our best to process the expired or expiring vehicles first.

Iron County

Cedar City

  • Dealers can drop-off packets anytime during our normal business hours.
  • We are not accepting dealer walk-ins at this time.
  • Iron County dealers may schedule an appointment for a maximum of two transactions.
  • Out of county dealers are drop off only.

Parowan

  • Dealers can drop-off packets anytime during our normal business hours.

Juab County

  • Dealers can drop-off packets anytime during our normal business hours.
  • Dealer walk-ins are accepted
  • When a dealer has a lot of transactions, we ask for extra checks in case we have to stop their dealer packet to help other customers waiting in line.
  • We usually try and work on dealer packets early in the morning.
  • Usually, our local dealers pick up their packets the next business day.
  • If a local dealer has a lot of transactions, we complete what we can and sometimes deliver the rest upon completion.

Kane County

  • We have a limit of five transactions per packet.

Millard County

Fillmore

  • Dealer needs to call for an appointment
  • We have a limit of five transactions per packet.
  • Dealers will receive a call when their packet is available for pick-up.

Delta

  • We will process dealer batches for local dealers only.
  • Dealers can drop-off packets anytime during our normal business hours.
  • Dealer packets are worked as time permits in relation to our customer volume.
  • Dealers should call our office first to verify plates are ready for pickup.

Morgan County

  • Due to the Covid, we are only using one window for DMV transactions.
  • Dealers may drop-off packets
  • Due to our influx of customers from surrounding counties expect longer wait times for completed packets.

Piute County

  • We deliver the packet to the dealer when it is finished

Rich County

  • There are no special requirements for dealers at this time.

Salt Lake County

Salt Lake City

  • Dealer transactions are limited to drop-off only.
  • Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Dealers may NOT schedule an appointment with the DMV Appointment Scheduler (where available).
  • There is a limit of 15 transaction per dealer packet.
  • We will contact the dealer when the packet is completed and ready for pick up using the following method:

    • If the dealer uses another payment method, we will contact the dealer by phone

South Valley (Draper)

  • Dealer transactions are limited to drop-off only.

  • There is a limit of 15 transaction per dealer packet.
  • We will contact the dealer when the packet is completed and ready for pick up using the following method:

    • If the dealer uses another payment method, we will contact the dealer by phone

San Juan County

  • There are no special requirements for dealers at this time.

Sanpete County

  • Dealer walk-ins are limited to two transactions.
  • More than two vehicles requires the dealer to leave the packed for pick up later.
  • The dealer will be told at the time of drop-off when to come back for pick-up.,

Sevier County

  • Dealer transactions are limited to drop-off only.
  • Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Dealers may NOT schedule an appointment with the DMV Appointment Scheduler (where available).
  • There is a limit of 5 transaction per dealer packet.
  • We will contact the dealer when the packet is completed and ready for pick up using the following method:
    • If the dealer pays with an e-check, an email is generated and sent to the email address associated with the e-payment information;
    • If the dealer uses another payment method, we will contact the dealer by phone
  • You must properly complete form TC-318, Dealer Transmittal for each packet, including dealer contact information, payment method and number of transactions being processed.

Summit County

Park City

  • We are only offering dealer services to Summit County Dealers. No dealerships that are located outside of Summit county will be processed.
  • Dealers can drop-off packets anytime during our normal business hours.
  • Dealer packets will be processed within 72 hours.
  • A Summit County dealer can walk-in and wait for a maximum of 2 transactions, otherwise they have to be dropped.
  • Please note: Face mask/covering is required to enter the Park City DMV.
  • You may be put on a waitlist when you arrive if we are at capacity in our lobby.
  • Current hours are M-F 8am-5pm. We are closed from 12:15pm-2:00pm. No transfers are processed after 4:30pm.

Kamas

  • This office is currently closed and is not processing dealer packets.

Coalville

  • This office is currently closed and is not processing dealer packets.

Tooele County

  • At this time, we are only processing Tooele County dealer transactions.

Uintah County

  • Dealer transactions are limited to drop-off only.
  • Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Dealers may NOT schedule an appointment with the DMV Appointment Scheduler (where available).
  • There is a limit of 5 transaction per dealer packet.
  • We will contact the dealer when the packet is completed and ready for pick up using the following method:
    • If the dealer pays with an e-check, an email is generated and sent to the email address associated with the e-payment information;
    • If the dealer uses another payment method, we will contact the dealer by phone

Utah County

  • Dealer transactions are limited to drop-off only.

  • Dealer hours are from 8:00 – 4:00.
  • Dealers may walk-in or drop off packets anytime during our normal business hours.
  • Dealer walk-ins are limited to two transactions.
  • We have a limit of fifteen transactions per packet.
  • Dealer will be called when packet is ready for pick-up.

Washington County

  • Dealer transactions are limited to drop-off only.
  • Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Dealers may NOT schedule an appointment with the DMV Appointment Scheduler (where available).
  • There is a limit of 5 transaction per dealer packet.
  • We will contact the dealer when the packet is completed and ready for pick up using the following method:
    • If the dealer pays with an e-check, an email is generated and sent to the email address associated with the e-payment information;
    • If the dealer uses another payment method, we will contact the dealer by phone

  • This office does not process dealer packets.

Weber County

  • Dealer transactions are limited to drop-off only.
  • Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  • There is a limit of 15 transaction per dealer packet.
  • We will contact the dealer when the packet is completed and ready for pick up using the following method:
