Driver License Division (DLD) - Many are surprised to learn that the DMV does not issue driver's licenses. The DLD is a separate division charged with managing Utah's driver's licenses, while the DMV is charged with managing Utah's vehicle registrations.
Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division (MVED) - This division of the Utah State Tax Commission licenses and regulates automobile dealerships, salespeople, crushers, transporters, dismantlers and body shops. It investigates motor vehicle fraud and other crimes, such as auto theft, chop shops, odometer fraud and salvage vehicle fraud.

Utah State Parks and Recreation - This agency manages Utah's 43 state parks — from Bear Lake State Park at the Utah/Idaho border to Edge of the Cedars State Park Museum deep in the Four Corners region, and everywhere in between. It also administers the Utah off-highway vehicle, boating, and trails programs. Parks and Recreation works to provide access to waterways and trails, and promote education, safety, and resource protection.
Utah State Tax Commission - The Tax Commission is the parent agency of the DMV, and also oversees other revenue-generating branches of the state government including state taxes.
